Imagine your dream cabin built upon the shores of one of Wisconsin’s most beautiful chain of lakes. Imagine waking each day to the sound of water lapping at the shore and birds singing from the trees out side of your windows. Imagine cookouts each day and camp fires in the evenings, loons calling across the water and the laughter of your loved ones as they enjoy swimming, boating and fishing right from your own shoreline. This is what awaits you on the Long Lake Chain of Lakes in Price County Wisconsin. Only seven waterfront properties will be available on this beautiful chain of lakes and you will want to be there with me on the first day that they are available.
If you have been looking for lake front land in Wisconsin, you know that it is getting difficult to find and afford. Wisconsin has over 15000 lakes—the third largest concentration of fresh water lakes in the world—but in spit of this, there is a severe shortage of available lakefront properties.
Did you know that out of Wisconsin 15,081 lakes, a full 90% (13,500) are smaller than 49 acres? Only 4.5% of Wisconsin’s lakes are 200 acres or larger, and 10 years ago, Wisconsin’s Department of Natural Resources reported that more than 97% of the lakes were fully developed or under public ownership. The October 1998 issue of Wisconsin Natural Resources magazine reported that Wisconsin would be out of undeveloped lake front land before the year 2018!It is very important that you acquire your lakefront land right away. Over the next few years, there will be very little land left from which to choose, and you can imagine how expensive prices will be then.
Owning land on the Long Lake Chain in Phillips, Wisconsin is the opportunity you have been waiting for. This exceptional chain of lakes is what everybody wants when it comes to a family lakefront retreat. The Long Lake Chain consists of three lakes: Long lake, Wilson Lake and Duroy Lake. Combined, they are about 1400 acres, and lake depths vary from 15 to 54 feet. All have Miskie, northern, walleye, largemouth and smallmouth bass and panfish. There are islands, bays and coves, and approximately 20 or more miles of shoreline. You can head out for a day of boating and take all day to do it!
In late June or Early July, we will be offering just seven lake front parcels on Long Lake. This beautiful lake is 54 feet deep over a sand and gravel bottom. The shoreline is wooded, solid and not weedy. All properties face west for sunset views and shoreline frontage ranges from 150 feet to over 225 feet. The parcels are a combination of open sunny space and woods, which are a mature mix of red and white pine, fragrant hemlock and fir, and papery-white birch and maple.
This is the perfect place for a rustic cabin/home with a walkout basement and deck looking out over this stunning chain of lakes. There is plenty space for children and pets to run and play. Your private shoreline is wide, providing seclusion and plenty of space for your dock. Your land will face west and you will enjoy countless evenings watching the sky paint itself with the colors of the setting sun. I am sure that you can imagine the aroma of a wood fire at dusk and the mournful call of the loon drifting across the still and peaceful surface of the lake.
When you want to head into town for a meal, it is just minutes away in Phillips at the Minnow Lake Loft, Crazy Loon, Logger’s Café, or the Freighthouse Restaurant. There are quaint shops like Homespun Gift Shop and Just Because Crafts. There is a good bait and sport shop and a movie theater. For groceries, there is a Copps Food Store. There are hardware and building stores, medical facilities . . . the works. Phillips is a real town with everything you will need to be comfortable while at your lake cabin.
If you enjoy hunting or hiking trails, riding horses or ATV’s, it is all near by in the Chequamegon National Forest and the Flambeau River State Forest. There is no end to the recreational opportunities in the area and right off the end of your own dock.
One fact that I did not mention above is that 80% of Wisconsin’s 15,081 lakes are located in the northern one third of the state. If you are going to be successful in acquiring lake front land in Wisconsin, you must be prepared to go into the area where the lakes are located. Phillips, Wisconsin is just a two-hour drive from the Twin Cities and about 4.5 hours or so from the Chicagoland area. There are good travel routes from both major metro areas.
As I wrote above, opportunities to own lake front land like this are fleeting and becoming rare. Timing is everything when it comes to acquiring premium lake front property on a chain of lakes like the Phillips (Long Lake) Chain. With only seven properties available, and with three office marketing these properties to thousands of customers, I can guarantee you that you will want to be there with me the first day that they are on the market.
If you are ready to own premium lake front land, and can be available when these new properties are on the market, I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you. We’ll head on out there and look them all over. I’ll have my boat on hand and we can spend some time on the water checking out the miles of boating, the islands and the coves. We may even see and eagle or a loon or two! I am certain that you will be impressed with both the lakes and the land.
